Cancellation of 2020 Birchwood Carnival

Birchwood Carnival Committee announces the cancellation of the 2020 Carnival.

During the next few months, Warrington Borough Council staff resources will be focused on the delivery of essential services. Warrington Borough Council Officers, Birchwood Town Councillors, Birchwood Town Council staff, and community volunteers involved in the organisation, delivery and management of the carnival may not be available to provide the necessary support for a reorganised event later this year.

For this reason, it has been decided to cancel the event and to work towards holding the next carnival in June 2021.

Stallholders, food vendors and booked attractions will be contacted directly in the coming days.

The committee thanks you for your understanding in the present difficult circumstances.

Bob Hogg’s Sheepdog & Duck display comes to the 2020 Carnival!

It’s only three months to Carnival day and it’s time to reveal this year’s headline attraction – Bob Hogg’s Sheepdog Display!

For many years Bob has travelled around the country with his sheepdog display enjoying taking the world of the shepherd and his dog into countryside arenas, showing the skills these amazing animals have, whilst offering great entertainment.

This year Bob is aiming to give a completely new feel to the display still based on the traditional skills adding the entertainment factor with a brand new vibrant display!

Look out for special guest appearances with other animals too…

Note – images are from previous shows and may not represent the all-new 2020 show Bob is bringing to the carnival
